Weeks 3 Working with Your Group Blog

Getting Ready to Set Up Your Blog:

You and your group members need to:
Determine an appropriate name for your blog--one that does not voice an opinion one way or the other on the issue.
Make sure that your gmail works, respond to the message sent by Mrs. Nelson regarding your responsibilities in using gmail and attach the "Checklist" file that identifies the user names/passwords that you are using for your Web 2.0 accounts
Determine who will be the organizer of your group blog

Setting Up Your Blog:
Only the group organizer needs to set up the blog following Mrs. Nelson's instructions.
Key a creative title for your blog by clicking on Customize and then Settings and keying it in the Title section
The purpose of the blog (copied and pasted from Wiki) will be entered into the "Description" section
All group members need to be invited through use of their gmail address which can be done by clicking on Customize and then Permissions.
All group members will need to accept the invite by checking their gmail and clicking on all related links.
The "Definition" of your topic (copy and paste from wiki if it has been edited by Mrs. Nelson) must be added as a "Gadget" by clicking on the Layout Tab and then on "Add a Gadget" and then on the "+" symbol to the right of "Text"
The "Definition" must be dragged to the top of the page directly beneath your Title/Purpose
